At the 5th International Menemen Pottery Festival, which will take place on September 18–20, 2026, we turn our focus to the very place where pottery was born and found its meaning: the table. With the theme “The World’s Pottery Table is Set in Menemen,” we bring together art and gastronomy, past and present, culture and flavor at one shared table.

THE HÜNERLİ ELLER POTTERY COMPETİTİON

Hünerli Eller Pottery Competition, to be held as part of the International Menemen Pottery Festival, will take place over two days on September 19–20, 2026, at Menemen City Park. Followed with great excitement every year, this year's competition will once again bring together participants who masterfully showcase both the technical and aesthetic aspects of pottery. The competition, where the mastery of traditional pottery is blended with modern interpretations, will also offer visitors an unforgettable viewing experience over the two days.

THE HEMHAL ARTİSTİC CERAMİCS COMPETİTİON AND EXHİBİTİON

The Hemhal Artistic Ceramics Competition and Exhibition, organized by Menemen Municipality, aims to bring together all artists, craftspeople, and young talents dedicated to the art of ceramics on a common platform. The competition's main goals are to support ceramic art, to unite traditional handicrafts with contemporary art along an aesthetic line, and to encourage young artists in particular to create, thereby making sustainable contributions to Menemen's cultural and economic life. ALTERNATIVE FIRING TECHNIQUE DEMONSTRATIONS

Alternative firing technique demonstrations, brought to life by the skilled hands of many nationally and internationally renowned pottery artists, will once again meet art enthusiasts in the unique atmosphere of the International Menemen Pottery Festival. These special performances — which push the boundaries of traditional methods and reveal the bond that fire and smoke forge with the earth — offer visitors the opportunity to truly experience a visual feast.
